Janine Vigué, painter

Born in Lot et Garonne, in a farmers'familly, the childhood in a farm surrounded by animals has greatly influenced her work.

After studying German language in Bordeaux, Janine stayed one year in the Rhenish Palatinate in Landau before moving in Paris area to begin her working life.

Since 1987 she is interested more and more in painting. She learnt drawing at the ADAC's workshops in Paris and at the live models' workshops of the People's House in Montreuil near Paris. She was immediately aware of her attraction for the characters and portraits. Painting became soon a necessity that permits her to fly to her little world. From the pastel work, she went quickly to the oil work that allows her to paint at her own pace. Since 5 years she began to work with ink and watercolor.

It was written for her first exhibition in the Lot et Garonne, 14 years ago, she was a painter of everyday life. Janine's painting is a touching picture, but surprisingly poignant, timeless with a mix of strength and fragility, strange and familiar, that leaves no one indifferent. She is an expressionism painter, she give life at all her personnages and birds? Each painting tells you a story.

Janine regularly exhibits individually or collectively in France and Germany

She is a permanent artist of the galerie G'M
