Pascal Ragoucy, photograph and plastic artist

Pascal Ragoucy was born in Gap (Hautes-Alpes France) in 1961. He photographs since a long time but the realism connected to the photography is not its domain. It's towards the line, the drawing or the etching that he progresses.

In his approach, apparently quite in duality - confrontation / disappearance – he tends to make feel the median space and the breath « spirit » . It's this notion of decay / perpetual revival that he proposes us through his black and white photos of a working drawing and startling light.

We approach his work by a silence, not that presumptuous of the respect, but the one that felt the author at this moment - more than moment - when everything congeals, where everything takes shape; a kind of empty space and respite.

Then, guided, called, we venture to enter, to penetrate into this landscape, oscillating between attraction and apprehension; the balance seems precarious, the suspended movements, in expectation, between serenity and chaos; everything seems possible.
He is a permanent artist of the gallery G'M.
